A Rustic Tipi Wedding at Duncton Mill Fishery

DUNCTON MILLS WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | TIPI WEDDING |SUSSEX WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Where do I start with this amazing wedding and super lovely couple. Amy and Chris were an absolute delight to get to know and share their wedding journey with. We had such fun at their engagement shoot at Camber Sands (You can see this here) and their wedding day was such a joy to photograph.

I started off photographing both Amy and Chris and their families getting ready in a pretty little cottage in the village of Duncton before a fab VW Camper from VW Events shuttled everyone over to their venue – the stunning Duncton Mill Fishery. Amy and Chris were having an outdoor ceremony surrounded by a flower arch, and I have to admit there was a lot of looking at the dark stormy skies as to whether we would get through the ceremony without a drop of rain!

The lovely Katie at True Blue ceremonies conducted their ceremony perfectly, and even as the rain gradually started to get a little heavier, a few umbrellas were put up and their ceremony simply continued. Afterwards my lovely couple were taken around the lake in a pretty wooden boat where their guests waited on the other side to greet them. As they made their way into the stunning Tipi, provided by Beautiful World Tents Amy and Chris and their guests mingled and tucked into the most delightful spread of cakes, provided by the super talented Rosehip Sussex. Amy even had her own little tea and cake bar with vintage crockery – which proved to be very popular!

The rain continued to persist and eventually turned into a downpour, perfectly timed as  everyone was being seated inside the cosy tipi for a BBQ sharing spread provided by Gastro Catering.  After some fun speeches the sun broke out and the guests were treated to tasty hand scooped ice cream provide by the fab Caravanilla and Amy and Chris even got to serve their guests for a time too.

The evening sun was so beautiful and it was lovely to see all the guests relaxing by the lake, playing games and enjoying boat trips around the water. I took Amy and Chris off for a little walk to capture some couple shots and allowed them to spend a little time together as a newly married couple.

Some nice relaxed and informal group photos were then captured including a rather fun group photo shot that I took from the other side of the lake whilst Amy and Chris sat in the boat! Cake cutting and a first dance soon followed before I left them both to enjoy the rest of their day with family and friends.

Thank you both so much for allowing me and Alex to be a part of your day – It truly was such a fun wedding and even a little drop of rain did not ruin such a happy and relaxed day. Here are (quite a few!!) of my favourites x
