I grew up in Salisbury and one of the places I most liked to visit as much as I could was Hengistbury head, also known as Mudeford Spit. Situated near to Christchurch and Bournemouth on the south coast, it is the most beautiful place to visit with long sandy beaches on one side, cliff walks and my highlight, the most amazing Beach Huts. I have photographed these Beach Huts many times and they always look so different depending on the season you visit. We spent Easter weekend with my family so took a trip down there on the Sunday, camera in hand. It was my parents Ruby Wedding Anniversary over the weekend so it was nice to also capture some family portraits too amongst the dunes.
Hengistbury Head is definitely somewhere I would recommend you visit if you can, and if you don’t fancy the long walk back to the car park, a land train runs during the busier months!
