The Pilgrims Rest – A new Wedding and Celebration Venue in East Sussex
A few weeks ago I spent a very fun few hours capturing the set up and open evening for The Pilgrims Rest, a stunning 600 year old Wealden Hall house in Battle, East Sussex. I live in a 200 year old cottage and thought that was old, but the character this beautiful building has really needs to be seen. Up until recently I had known this venue as a very lovely tea room, and being a regular visitor to Battle I knew the building well, situated right next to the Abbey in the heart of the town.
I always get excited when new wedding venues open their doors but I was truly blown away when I stepped into this beautiful beamed building which had been dressed so beautifully for the open evening. The wonderful flowers were supplied by Cara at The Enchanted Flower and the pretty stationary by the fab Lynda at Lynda Loves.
I spent time capturing all the little details and having a good look round. The space consists of three main downstairs rooms with a little area upstairs for the Bride and her maids to get ready. This space also has a lovely view right across to the Abbey and the pretty front garden that can be used during summer weddings and celebrations.
The Pilgrims Rest have a wedding open day on the 22nd January and if you are looking for a unique wedding venue that has a wonderful homely feel with lots of history and character then do come along to find out more. http://www.pilgrimsrestbattle.co.uk/
